Trivia[]
- The battery box was a precursor to the negate cube, the only difference being that it had no orange input orb to disable it. The concept would be worthless now, but it would appear initially logic cubes like fire and light could not operate without external power.
- Despite not appearing in any other project until December 1st, fire appeared in Daniel Everland's game TestPlanet on November 28, 2011.[3] It's unclear whether the fire was visible to players at the time, since the cube didn't become capable of self-power until later.
- TNT did not appear until the December 6 game facepunch. Due to there not being pressure plates, there's no clear way to activate it.[4] Text also does not appear in any games until test11111, published December 6.
- The photo posted in the Facebook announcement seems to show some sort of trigger mechanism being used to trigger TNT and text. What the object is is unclear, but it appears to be some sort of model within a trigger field, identical to one for a pickup (which did not exist at the time). It almost looks like a stereotypical switch used to prime TNT. It would seem that it disappeared from games after its removal in favor of the pressure plate.
- Early lava did not set players on fire. This feature was later implemented in Build 0.7.4.
