Forsaken is an episodic adventure horror game created by dead insidе, karell. and ᛜ A S H B I T E ᛜ.

The First Chapter was released on March 9th, 2023.

The Second Chapter was announced somewhere between late-2023 to early-2024, with the game released on June 1st, 2024 as a demo version.

Development

First Chapter

The development of the First Chapter was began on September 26th, 2022.

According to the game information, NotReal Svor, foxy_9000 and .ωuзσቅρeӈuҹҡα. were the official Beta Testers for the game prior to it's release.

Two teaser trailers to the chapter were released in the month of February 2023. The former titled "Coming Soon" was published on February 13th; While the latter titled "Fourth Complex" published three days later, on February 16th. The trailer of the game chapter was revealed on March 8th, 2023.

Second Chapter

The development of the Second Chapter was began on December 29th, 2023.

ᛜ A S H B I T E ᛜ was chosen to be the owner of the second chapter instead of dead inside, who was the owner of the first chapter and being the official member of the second chapter.

Besides the first chapter members returning to making the second chapter, EH ʜᴊ ᴛʏ ᴛᴊ was added to be a part of the official second chapter members. EH ʜᴊ ᴛʏ ᴛᴊ has already having a successful achievements prior the demo release, appears as a Honorable Mention on both Vehicle Energy Contest and End-Of-The-Year Contests in 2023 and a Game of the Week winner on Highlights of the Week #308 in 2024.

Official Beta testers of the second chapter is yet to be revealed.

The game was released on June 1st, 2024 on it's demo state and it's yet to be fully released.

Release and Versions

The first chapter was officially released on March 9th, 2023, followed by few versions between March to July of the same year

Version 1.1

Released on March 15th.

• Bugs of Fire Extinguisher and "For What?" Achievement were fixed.
• Preview of the game was updated.
• Optimization for Russian Language was added.

Version 1.2

Released on March 19th.

• High Optimization mode for the game was added.
• Preview of the game was once again updated.
• The Key Card color was changed from White to Cloud material.
• Other minor changes was made.

Version 1.3

Released on July 14th.

• Bug of the High Optimization mode was fixed.
• Getting the "Cake is a True" Achievement was changed.

Downloadable Content (DLC)

DLC of the first chapter was released somewhere between 2023 - 2024.

Accolades & Awards

The first episode was chosen to be the Game of the Week in Highlights of the Week #293 on June 2nd, 2023.

Later on October 13th of the same year, the game trailer was chosen to be the Video of the Week in Highlights of the Week #302.

On January 5th, 2024, the first episode was awarded "Game of the Year" on the Editor's Choice 2023, alongside with Creepy - Packstman by -_-LG-_- and Time Rift - Parkour by CrowDark.
