Banner Announcement of the 10th Anniversary Celebration Contest

The KoGaMa’s 10th Anniversary Celebration Contest was a multi-competition events that were held both on WWW and Brazil servers in honor to 10th Anniversary to KoGaMa's official release, the contests were being hosted by Unicorn.

The events for the contest - to which users can participate in more than one - were included Building Games and Animation, Drawing, Speedrunning, Guessing the Number and Giveaways. Perks such as XP Boosts and Accessories Offers were also added in addition to the celebration.

The contests submissions were started on September 17th and ended on October 18th 2021.

All the competition winners were revealed on October 19th, 2021.

Background

KoGaMa was officially released on September 17, 2011 with Caspar being the first user to register, followed by rasmus and TEST on the first day. Overall there were 35 users to be officially register on the first week. Friends server was officially released on March 1st, 2012 under it's name "U.S. server", while Brazil server was released to the public a year later, on May 3rd, 2013.

Although no any anniversary events were officially announced on WWW server prior to 2021, there was a few anniversary events that were announced on the Brazil server on it's 1st anniversary in 2014, on it's 2nd anniversary in 2015 and again on it's 3rd anniversary in 2016, only this time, a limited time badge was available to redeem on the code coupon. There was also an small event at the KoGaEvents discord server that was hosted by Kelim to celebrate 6th anniversary to KoGaMa Brazil release back in 2019.

Event Description

Hey KoGaMians! It’s party time! 🎉🎉🎉

KoGaMa was officially released to the public on September 17th, 2011, and do you know what that means? Today, the game we play and love is already holding a whole decade on its neck! Pretty easy to say… right?

KoGaMians have been actively creating games, models and avatars; with games managing to get millions of plays, as well as models and avatars earning thousands of purchases… but most importantly - a lot of creators and players have had a lot of fun playing KoGaMa, whether that be by themselves, or with friends!

The way creations are made on KoGaMa has evolved over the past 10 years, and we’re amazed to look at all of the wonderful productions that have been made since then!

We’re definitely very proud of our community. :)

That’s why we’d like you to come to our party and celebrate KoGaMa’s 10th anniversary with us, through a BUNCH of contests, competitions, giveaways, and many more events we’ll be organizing during an entire month!

Guess the Number Competition

From September 17th to September 18th, 2021, participants had to guess the exact number of Accounts, Games, Models and Avatars that have been created up to the time this announcement was posted.

The users who provide the 3 closest guesses for every type of creation was awarded with:

Birthday Cake Contest

From September 17th to September 30th, 2021, participants had to create a project in which they build & decorate a birthday cake, using any of the existing building items KoGaMa offers, such as models, logic items, blueprints, etc.

Prizes

The 10 most creative, original and KoGaMa’s Anniversary related birthday cakes were picked, and the creators was awarded with:

  • 1st, 2nd and 3rd places: 8 545 T GoldPixel Default Icon, 1st Place Badge & 3 month free Elite subscription.
  • 4th, 5th and 6th places: 6 836 T GoldPixel Default Icon, 2nd Place Badge & 1 month free Elite subscription.
  • 7th, 8th, 9th and 10th places: 5 127 T GoldPixel Default Icon, 3rd Place Badge & 1 month free Elite subscription.

How To Enter

Once and their birthday cake is done, they had to publish their project and shared it through the KoGaMa’s Birthday Cake Contest form.

Note: If their birthday cake is way too big, they can leave a Jetpack blueprint near the spawn for the players to be able to evaluate the cake from different perspectives.

Animation Contest

From September 17th to October 07th, 2021, participants had to create a project and build a KoGaMa animation within it using logic cubes and any other existing building items KoGaMa offers.

Note: Check out this tutorial, in case and you are not familiar with making KoGaMa animations.

Rules

  • It must: Be started manually (e.g. by pressing a Pressure Plate/by pushing a Lever/etc);
  • Be related to KoGaMa’s 10th Anniversary;
  • It can: Be made in 2D or 3D.
  • It can’t: Exceed 10 minutes.

The 5 most creative and original animations that meet the previous guidelines were picked, and the creators was awarded with:

How To Enter

Once and their animation is done, they had to publish their animation and shared it through the KoGaMa Animation Contest form.

New Official KoGaMa Character Design Contest

From September 24th to October 10th, 2021, participants had to design either manually or digitally for what they think would be the best brand new Avatar that would be officially implemented into the Purchasable Avatars section of the Avatar Editor!

Rules

  • It must: Keep a blocky look, like if it was really part of the KoGaMa universe.
  • It can’t: Be too complex, nor too simple.

Prizes

The 3 most creative and original avatar designs that meet the previous guidelines were picked, and the creators was awarded with:

All winners was also be awarded with the possibility of getting something from their submissions introduced into the New Official KoGaMa Character.

How To Enter

Once and their avatar design is done, they had to upload it and shared it through New KoGaMa Character Contest form.

KoGaMa’s 10th Anniversary Artwork Event

From September 24th to October 10th, 2021, participants had to design either manually or digitally a nice looking KoGaMa’s 10th Anniversary related artwork.

Rules

  • It must: Be made on an A4 paper as minimum size (for manual draws).
  • Be made in a 1920x1080px project (for digital draws).

Prizes

The most creative, original and KoGaMa’s Anniversary related artworks that meet the previous guidelines were picked, and may get the possibility of being set as the Discord server’s banner for a few weeks. Their creators was awarded with:

  • 12 066 T GoldPixel Default Icon, 1 month free Elite subscription.

How To Enter

Once and their design is done, they had to upload it to the KoGaMa’s Anniversary Artwork Event form.

Parkour Speedrun Competition

From October 11st to October 16th, 2021, participants had to record themselves completing this parkour game in the shortest possible time.

Rules

  • The video can’t: Contain any post-production effect other than music in the background.
  • The video must: Contain the 3 minutes prior to your best run.

The users with the 6 best shortest times was awarded with:

How To Enter

Once and the user recorded your best run, they uploaded the video to YouTube using the tag #KoGaMaSpeedrunCompetition2021.

They also have to leave a link to their KoGaMa account in the video’s description, only one account per participant were accepted.

Weekly Giveaways (Discord Server)

From September 17th to October 18th, 2021, every Sunday at 19:00 GMT a total of 48 winners (12 winners per giveaway) were randomly picked, and they were receive a different reward depending on the giveaway they’ve won.

  • You can’t: Win more than one weekly giveaway.

From September 17th to October 18th, 2021, every week until the celebration is over, a total of 20 winners were randomly picked.

Perks During the Celebration

In the wake of the celebration, there were also available perks that any registered user was able to take advantage of such as:

  • 50% offer for all accessories in the shop and 200% XP boost from Fridays to Mondays.
