The Official KoGaMa Discord Server (often shortened KDS) is the Official Discord Server for the game. It's run by the Admins and also by some volunteers. It was created by AdmiralFjong, former Community Manager, but since he left, the current owner is Michal. The invitation to the server is discord.gg/kogama.

Informative channels[ | ]

#welcome: The channel you land in when joining the server. It contains some important information, so read carefully. You can also get Mention Role on this channel.

#faq: Here you can see questions that are often asked as well as answers to them.

#rules: The server rules. Take your time to read them and do not try to break them. Breaking them can get you warned, muted, kicked, or even banned depending on the severity of your actions. You can also receive the No xp role if you break rules in order to gain XP faster on the server.

#server-announcements: Announcements regarding the server, such as updates to the server, applications for roles (Moderators, HotW Committee, etc), updates to the Modmail and HotW Suggestions bots, etc.

#hotw-information: This channels informs about how you can submit your creation and the rules to participate on the Highlights of the Week.

#ama-sessions: Here you can see the answers for the previous "Ask Me Anything" sessions.

#kogafriend-recipients: Here is the list of the users who have received the KoGaFriend badge because of their contributions. There have been 6 rounds so far and 58 people have received this badge for their contributions.

Trivia: There used to be a Turkish channel, but it was eventually removed due to a lack of active moderators in that language or lack of activity in general.

Trivia: The channel "#birthday-register" was part of the Off Topic category but it was disabled in 2023. (Original channel Description: "Here you can submit your birthday when you're level 10+ or if you're a Nitro Booster on the server. When it's your birthday, you'll receive a special role and access to a secret channel.")

Hangout[ | ]

#voice-chat: If you don't have a microphone or can't talk in a voice chat currently, you can chat here.

Stage Channel: This channel is used when there are events on the server. But it is not used nowadays.

Hangout 1: Here you can talk with other people on the server. The limit for this channel is 3 people. All the other "Hangouts" below are the same thing, it's just the limit that differs.

Hangout 2: The limit is 5 people.

Hangout 3: The limit is 10 people.

Hangout 4: The limit is 15 people.

Hangout 5: The limit is 25 people.

#bugs-and-help: This channel was used to report and talk about bugs. It was replaced by the 🗪 bugs-and-help Forum channel in December 2022.

#suggestions-and-feedback: Here you could give your suggestions and feedback for the game itself or for the Discord server. It was replaced by the 🗪 suggestions-and-feedback Forum channel in December 2022.

#share-your-creations: You could use this channel to share your own KoGaMa creations, whether it's a game, avatar, model, logic or something else. It and #kogallery were replaced by the 🗪 kogallery Forum channel in December 2022.

#building: Here you could share your new game or avatar on KoGaMa. You could also ask for help with your buildings here. It was replaced by the 🗪 workshop Forum channel in December 2022.

#art: Here you could share all of your art and creations that are unrelated to KoGaMa. It was replaced by the 🗪 art Forum channel in December 2022.

#kogallery: Here you could post your fan arts and drawings related to KoGaMa. It and #share-your-creations were replaced by the 🗪 kogallery Forum channel in December 2022.

#clown-hangout: HEJOSZKA KOGAMIANS. Also known as #general-3 in its initial release, it was a channel created on April 1st, 2024 specifically for April Fools' Day. It was active for almost 7 hours and more than 1.3k messages were sent to the channel. Anyone who also participated in the channel - by sending a message on it - received the April Fools 2024 role.

Staff - Role for KoGaMa developers.

Senior Moderators - Role for the experienced volunteer users who have taken care of the server for a long time. You can view information about the role here

Junior Moderators - Role for users initiated to the moderation of the server. You can view information about the role here

Wiki Admin - Role for uses who moderate the KoGaMa Wiki. You can view information about the role here

KoGaTutor - A role given to people that constantly help users with their logic systems, as well to users that always were there to solve new users' questions, like actual tutors.

Content Creator - The role for users who take part in the Content Creators Program, for publishing content on social media such as YouTube, Twitch, or Instagram.

HotW Committee - Role for members of the Highlights of the Week Committee.

Senior Translator - Role for experienced Translators who have been translating KoGaMa for a long time. You can view information about the role here

Translator - Role for users who translate KoGaMa to other languages. Translators are sometimes sought on Discord. You can view information about the role here

Server Booster - Role for users who have boosted the server. Gains access to some special channels.

Legacy Booster - Role for users who have boosted the server in the past.

KoGaMate - A role that is given to users that actively contribute to the KoGaMa community. For example, users that are Senior Moderators, Moderators, Junior Moderators, Wiki Admins, KoGaTutors, Content Creators, members of the HotW Committee, Senior Translators or Translators get the KoGaMate role for all the positive acts they have done. KoGaFriends can get this role if they are currently contributing to the community, and very active Wiki Helper or bug reporters can also be considered for this role.

KoGaFriend - “A KoGaFriend is a nominated KoGaMa user who has helped Multiverse through things like community building, events, contests, bug tracking, or other positive influences”.

Creator Spot. Winner - Role for the winners of the Creator Spotlight. It has been discontinued since the end of 2022.

Wiki Helper - Role for people who are over Level 50 on the KoGaMa Wiki. You can view information about the role here

Bots - Role for bots that are on the server.

Trusted Member - Role for Trusted Members on the server. As of now, only users who were formerly moderators on the server have this role.

Verified Polish and Verified Portuguese - Roles that used to give access to the Polish and Portuguese channels respectively. The Polish and Portuguese channels had a verification system where users had to send their accounts so they could be checked by moderators, after that, they would be verified. As the verification systems have been removed, these roles are no longer obtainable, but are kept on the server in case the verification systems are enabled again.

Level Roles - Each level from 1 to 150 has a role. The KoGaMa Discord Server uses the level up system of the MEE6#4876 Discord bot.

At Level 3 you get the permission to create posts, embed links and attach files in 🗪 bugs-and-help and 🗪 suggestions-and-feedback.
At Level 4 you get the permission to create posts, embed links and attach files in 🗪 workshop.
At Level 5 you get the permissions to use external emotes and stickers anywhere on the server, and to create posts, embed links and attach files in 🗪 kogallery and 🗪 art.
At Level 10 you get the permission to embed links and attach files anywhere on the server.
At Level 30 you get the permission to change your server nickname.

Those permissions are kept for subsequent levels (e.g. you are still able to embed links and attach images at levels after Level 10).

Mention Role - You can get this role by checking the reaction when new messages appear in #news and #announcements, instead of pinging everyone, moderators will ping this role.

Emergency - Special role to ping Moderators when inappropriate things are happening on the server's channels.

Active moderator - This role is meant for you to ping Active moderators whenever there's a conflict, such as an argument or something that needs the attention of a moderator (bugs, arguments, need of guidance, ...). Feel free to use it as much as you need! Otherwise you can still contact @Modmail, we will answer to you as soon as possible.

April Fools 2024 - An April Fools' theme role, given to the users who participated in the #clown-hangout event on April 1st, 2024.

Warning - This role can be obtained for breaking the rules, including pinging staff.

No XP - You can get this role for breaking the rules. When you have it, you don't get XP for writing, which prevents you from leveling up. This role is usually given to users who abuse the XP system in order to level up faster.

No PL - This role blocks writing on the #pl-polish channel.

No PT - This role blocks writing on the #br-portuguese channel.

No Stream - You cannot share your screen on voice channels with this role.
