The Lever is an advanced logic box that can allow players to directly trigger connecting logic systems.
Levers are much like pressure plates in their versatility.
Usage & Configuration[]
Restrictions[]
- Stars: The number of stars that a player must have in order to toggle the lever. Optional.
- Game Coins: The number of game coins that a player must pay to toggle the lever. Optional.
- Levels: The number of XP levels that a player must have in order to toggle the lever. Optional.
Settings[]
- Toggle Begin Activated: When this setting is set to true, the lever will initially be set to its 'on' position. If this setting is set to false, the lever will begin in its 'off' position. This is set to false by default.
Usage[]
Levers are much like pressure plates in that they allow players to directly trigger logic systems, but their mechanics differ in a few key ways. The first difference is that levers require players to voluntarily trigger them: Whereas pressure plates can be triggered simply by touch, levers require the player to press 'E' while standing within a close range. The second, most critical difference, is that levers behave like toggle boxes. A lever can be set to either 'on' or 'off,' and will hold that setting until triggered again. While on, the lever will emit a continuous signal; while off, the lever will not send any signal.
Since levers cannot be rendered invisible, builders often incorporate them into their level design. A lever is typically placed flush against a wall, with its switch side facing outward. At this time, levers cannot be rotated along the X or Z axes, so they are always vertical.
