Banner Announcement of the Summer Video Contest
The Summer Video Contest was a competition event to record an short video inside KoGaMa, which is themed around your ideal activities in the Summer. The contest was announced on June 9th, 2025.
The contest submissions started on June 9th and ended on June 23rd.
After the final deadline, the panel of KoGaMa judges decided on the lucky winners, and they where announced on June 30th.
Contest Description[]
In this contest, we’d like you to create a short video inside KoGaMa, which is themed around your ideal activities in the Summer. Perhaps you’re fond of a little picnic, a visit to the beach, or surfing through waves of fury? Or maybe your Summer is far more relaxing, such as reading a book in a hammock? The choice is yours to carve…
The video also doesn’t have to just feature your perspective of Summer: if you celebrate it with other family and friends, you’re free to depict them too! And if you think that’s a little too intrusive to your personal life, you’re free to portray what Block Boy, Sword Girl, or other official characters may be doing during the Summer! If you’re able to voice it with text-to-speech or your real-life voice, that’s fine, too!

Rules[]
- Only new videos are allowed – We will not accept videos made before and after this contest.
- Teams are allowed, but only a maximum of 4 members per team. (For clarity: this means 1 owner, and 3 helpers.)
- Only one submission per user – If you are the owner or helper of a team, you can’t be featured in any other team.
- Users who are permanently banned from KoGaMa’s Official Discord Server or the ProBoards Forums for inappropriate behaviour, or who are currently using an alternate account to evade their permanent ban in KoGaMa, are not allowed to participate – We do not want to support and reward players who are actively going against the game.
- If your video contains lots of text and/or has voice acting (real-life voice and/or text-to-speech voice) and is not in English, we recommend adding English subtitles to your video. This is not a necessity for your entry, however, this will help us judges review your video most effectively.
- In the video’s description, or when you submit your entry, you must include KoGaMa profile links to all contributors of the video – This is so we can confirm that you’re the owner or helper of the video.
- Also in the video’s description, or in the title, you should include a hashtag: #KoGaMaSummer2025 – This will make your video more distinctive and easily accessible.
- The video must be submitted from an online sharing site such as YouTube, Instagram, or Facebook; either as unlisted or public (that is up to you). Due to their surrounding controversies, we don’t recommend putting your video on just TikTok and Twitter yet.
- The video must be between 1 minute and 5 minutes long – It’s fine if your video is not the same length, but it should roughly be in that gap. (For clarity: ±10s.)
- You must submit your video in the Google form below for it to count as a contest entry.
- The video must be submitted between June 9th and June 23rd (Time Zone: GMT+00 London) – We won’t accept any entries submitted before or after these dates.

How well does your video represent Summer activities?
- Creativity
How creative is your video? (Unique elements, ideas, features…)

How high-quality is your video? (Clarity and detail of the video.)

Controversy[]
The video From the beach to the jungle: Block Boy’s crazy summer quest! done by HydroSnake, _Meka_, AlexandrosCool and _メღsυɳι.メღメ _ was originally the 2nd place winner, with a score of 8.6667 points.[1] However, it was quickly discovered that both HydroSnake and AlexandrosCool where turned to be blacklisted - the former have spammed their models dozens of time for the Highlights of the Week[2], while the latter was associated with a hacking group related to the game.
As a result, the contestants where being disqualified from the competition, with their rewards prizes being removed from their profiles, Crispy Kirby would also issued a statement at the beginning of the winners reveals post shortly after the incident.
Despite that, the other members of the video, _Meka_ and _メღsυɳι.メღメ _, weren't being involved in any malicious stuff and they both would receive the honorable mentions rewards as a consolation prize.
